小門嶼小門村

小門嶼位於西嶼北側。村落東邊入口，由兩道巨岩夾圍，遠看像門，而有「小門」之稱。
小門南端擁有潔白沙灘與天然港灣，北側玄武岩海崖高地，玄武台地形奇幻壯麗，之間，是具有四百年歷史的漁村聚落，聚落北側凹地上匍匐綿延一片硓𥑮石菜宅，是先民順應氣候與土地條件，為了能夠耕植綠色菜蔬而發展出的特殊地景。小島漁村的飲食與文化生活呈現海陸交融的特色，正是一個具體而微的縮小版澎湖。



Xiaomen Island is located north of Xiyu. The village is reached from the east side of the island. Because two high cliffs come together forming what looks like a doorway from afar, the island earned the name Xiaomen (small doorway). The southern side of the island has a white sand beach and a small natural harbor. On the north side are basalt sea cliffs and fantastic basalt-rock landscapes. Between these two is the 400-year-old fishing village of Xiaomen Village. On the northern side of the village are a network of traditional coral stone walled food gardens, created by early settlers to enable the growing of vegetables and other crops given the island’s climate and soil conditions. Today, the walled gardens have developed into a unique landscape feature. The food and culture of this small island fishing village is seen in the features of Xiaomen Island’s ocean and land environments and is also a true microcosm of the food and culture of Penghu in general.
